Join the IJIS Courts Advisory Committee (ICAC) on November 17, 2020 for a no-cost technology summit focused on engaging practitioners and industry, through open and frank conversations that advance the fidelity of virtual court operations. Practitioners will provide insight on needs, priorities, and experiences while the industry shares new opportunities that technology brings to the table.
---
The summit will have two sessions:
11:30AM - 1:00PM EST - Everything Has Changed
COVID has broken both the operating model of the courts and
the barriers to the adoption of court technology. Calls for social justice have
injected urgency and underscored the need for care and equity in implementing
technology solutions. This panel discusses the landscape and the new paradigm /
framework for court operations and technology.
3:00PM - 4:30PM EST - Virtual Hearings
The Pandemic shut down courthouses and precluded all but the
most critical hearings. Since those early days of operations, courts have
cobbled together solutions for delivering virtual hearings. These solutions have
been effective enough to suggest that virtual hearings will be here to stay.
Many improvements are needed to make virtual hearings technology more effective
and sustainable.
Who should attend?
- Industry application providers that deliver products/services to courts;
- Court practitioners seeking to transform their experiences into software solutions;
- Justice agency partners, liaisons, and other stakeholders that use or are impacted by the court processes and technologies.
