The Joint Technology Committee (JTC) of COSCA, NACM and the NCSC will host a webinar on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 2:00pm EDT. The topic will be "eBench and Dashboards – Making a Case for Judicial Tools".
---
Judicial Tools, E-Bench, Dashboards, Workflow Queues . . . What does it all mean? As automation increases in every area of court operations, many courts have found it more advantageous to transition to an e-court environment, including the digitization of the court records and automation of numerous courtroom process.
Despite monumental success in automating case management processes for court clerks, technology has not kept pace in meeting the technical needs of trial court judges on the bench and in chambers. This webinar is designed to introduce the concept of Judicial Tools and Judicial Caseflow Management to highlight the need to develop technology that is responsive to the case processing needs of judges.
As judges are the staple of court
processing, having the right tools in place is important in efforts to improve
the operational efficiency of courts. From
dashboards to workflow queues, the need to advocate for configurable
applications, equipment, and technological resources to assist judges
in their daily management of cases is vital, particularly with
widespread adoption of electronic case records as the official case record. This webinar explores issues and opportunities
surrounding the creation of next generation technology to support
effective Judicial Caseflow Management.
