CITOC Meeting Reminder

Snorri Ogata, CITOC Education Committee Chair, wants “to remind everyone that the annual CITOC business meeting will be in Baltimore, MD – Monday, Sept. 16, the day before CTC 2013 begins (http://www.ctc2013.com). It will be an all-day meeting.

In addition to the scintillating conversation with your peers and an endless supply of “crispy bacon” we’re mixing things up a little this year. We have invited two outside “industry experts” to address our group.

The CIO Executive Board (https://cio.executiveboard.com) will be sharing with us their research in the area of “The Future of Corporate IT” to provide us with some insights about upcoming changes that will impact how we manage IT.

The Gartner Group ( http://www.gartner.com/) will also be sharing with us on a topic (still being determined) around changing technologies.

We hope to see you there.

Look for more info to come on the CITOC site (www.citoc.org).”

BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Advice from Cisco

Cisco, being essentially ubiquitous in government networking, has provided an excellent technical resource on planning and configuring networks to deal with the BYOD phenomenon that corporations are facing.  Of course in courts we encourage attorneys, law enforcement and others to bring their own systems into our courtrooms so it is very applicable to us.  Click here to access the Cisco Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Smart Solution Design Guide.
