CITOC Seminar on Electronic Criminal Environment

The Court Information Technology Officer Consortium (CITOC) Education Sub-Committee is pleased to host this webinar for CITOC members on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:00pm EST.  The topic will be Electronic Criminal Environment and will be hosted by Brett Howard from the Orange County Superior Court.

---

In 2010, the judicial and administrative leadership of the Superior Court of California, County of Orange approved and established as a priority the creation of a complete electronic criminal environment (ECE) for managing case information, data, workflows and documents associated to criminal and traffic cases.

The Court’s return on investment in creating an ECE included:

  • Increased efficiency of Court operations (including records management);
  • Enhanced access to case information (internal and external Court users);
  • Improved exchange of case data and documents with justice partners; and
  • Ongoing cost benefit recovery of approximately $1.2million per year in salary and benefit savings, $80,000per year in printing costs, and $778,000 in off-site storage space.

Join this webinar to hear the story of their journey and learn some practice considerations and tips as your jurisdiction contemplates a similar path.

As CITOC membership is organizational and not individual, you are allowed to invite anyone in your Court to participate in this webinar. While the presentation will be mostly geared toward CIOs, you are encouraged to invite non-technical policy makers as well.
