CES 2014 – Sony to the Rescue

I saw only one concept worth mentioning from this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that was held in Las Vegas, Nevada this week that is applicable to court technology.

---

In a year in which a “bluetooth enabled meat thermometer” received mention as one of the top new products at the mega-conference known as CES, Sony announced several useful devices that will become available in the upcoming year.

I find that “The Verge” technology news website has good coverage of most announcement events such as those presented by Apple and Google.  Their blog shows the Sony Life Space UX technology theater that features a “short throw” projector that can place up to a 147-inch display on a wall or screen.  As the physical space in a courtroom allowing a projector sufficient distance from a screen to present a large image, this is something to monitor for your future plans.

They also showed how the technology can be used on a table surface and on a wall for browsing and displaying information.

Impressive and interesting.
