"After a comprehensive evaluation of available eFiling options and vendors, the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) has selected ImageSoft, Inc.’s TrueFiling™ platform as the Electronic Filing Manager (EFM) for a statewide eFiling initiative in Michigan. The decision means that a central Electronic Filing Manager platform will soon be available to all courts throughout the State, including District, Circuit, Probate, Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court. The TrueFiling EFM will support filers using the Web to deliver documents to courts throughout the state through a common system.
“We’re excited about the implications for the legal community and the State courts; both parties will benefit from greater efficiencies, improved transparency and the enhanced access that TrueFiling provides,” said Scott Bade, ImageSoft president. “Moreover, the broader implications and benefits to the courts from having taken this step toward achieving a paper-on-demand environment are wide-reaching and invaluable.”
TrueFiling was chosen after ImageSoft, of Southfield, Mich., responded to a request for proposal that was developed with assistance from the National Center for State Courts and issued last spring by the SCAO. ImageSoft was one of four shortlisted to present its solution to the SCAO in June 2012.
The solution is being implemented through a partnership between the SCAO, the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB), and ImageSoft and leverages the DTMB virtual environment for hosting.""
