What to know before you go to CTC 2019




This week's CTB post shares all the information you need for the Court Technology Conference (CTC) 2019 next week in New Orleans, Louisiana from September 10-12, 2019.

Registration and Information Hours 

CTC 2019 takes place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Registration will take place in the (west) lobby.
Monday, September 9
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 10
7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 11
7:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 12
7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Getting Your Conference Badge 

Express Registration Counters will be in the convention center lobby. At the registration counter, all you have to do is type in your last name, find your record and hit print. It’s that easy! You must wear your conference badge at all times for entry into education sessions and the exhibit hall. Guests are not allowed at any functions.

Have you downloaded the CTC 2019 app? 

If you haven’t already done so, download the CTC 2019 app before you arrive! With the app you will gain immediate access to all the detailed conference information you need.
Download the NCSC Conferences app from the app store of your choice. 
Are you reading this on your smartphone? Download the app now! 
After downloading the app, enter your email address and hit “Submit.”  If you have an existing account, it will take you to the password screen. If you forgot your password, use the reset password function. If you do not have an account, you will be taken to a screen to create your profile. You can import your LinkedIn information or you can create your profile from scratch. 

How do I get to my hotel? 

Airport Shuttle is available for $20 one way. Uber or Lyft is available and will run approximately $30-$36 one way. The airport is approximately a 30-minute drive from the downtown area. All hotels in the CTC block are within walking distance of the convention center. 

Breakfast Provided

Breakfast is being provided Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Breakfast will be offered from 7:30–8:30 a.m. in the Great Hall Prefunction Area. 

Exhibit Hall

Be sure to review CTC 2019’s exhibit hall floor plan before arriving. You can save time by creating your own exhibit hall itinerary in advance to connect with exhibitors. You can also mark your guide on the app!

Tuesday: Reception in Exhibit Hall

We invite you to join us in the exhibit hall for our opening reception on Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. It’s the perfect opportunity to mingle with exhibitors, catch up with old friends and enjoy some food and drink. 

Wednesday: Social at The Fillmore

On Wednesday, September 11, join your NCSC friends from  5:30-7:30 p.m. at our first-ever CTC social from 5:30–7:30 p.m.! Take a short walk from your hotel to New Orleans’ newest concert venue, The Fillmore, at 6 Canal Street. Attendees and exhibit staff are invited to attend and there is no additional charge. Please join us for light hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and networking on the final evening at the conference. We will have live music from The Mixed Nuts, so you don’t want to miss this event! Please remember to wear your conference badge to gain admission.

NCSC Center Quarter

New this year! NCSC will host the Center Quarter in the Rivergate Room at the Convention Center. Come and meet with experts at the National Center, grab a specialty coffee and get a complimentary headshot! 

Stay Hydrated!

Journal Technologies has a reusable water bottle for each of you! Water stations will be located throughout the convention center so keep your tumbler with you. 

Solution Showcases

Don’t forget to look at the Solutions Showcase Schedule and in the app. These interactive theaters are located on the show floor. Exhibitors will provide 30-minute sessions about their company’s products and services as well as court projects that have been implemented.

The Doctor is In

NCSC’s Court Consulting Services and Technology Divisions will be offering the “Doctor Is In” free consultation program all-day September 10, September 11 and until noon on September 12 out of  Room 214.
This program offers conference attendees an opportunity to speak with one or more of NCSC’s court services professionals on any desired court topic, for no charge and with no further obligation. Please contact Kent Kelly at kkelly@ncsc.org if you are interested in scheduling a session prior to the event. You will be asked to provide a specific court topic that you wish to discuss. During the event, please contact Laura Klaversma on-site to arrange a meeting. Availability for “Doctor is In” sessions is limited, so contact Kent early!

Departure Day

There will not be a baggage check area at the Convention Center. We recommend on the day of your departure, you leave your bags at your hotel’s bell desk.

New Orleans Local Information

On the Town Concierge will be in the Lobby near registration starting Tuesday morning. They will assist you with information about entertainment and dining options. Tuesday, you are on your own for lunch. Check out all the great places nearby.
